Frequently Asked Question:

Question: What should I expect from a massage with Sandra Leiva?

Answer: "I will ask you a few questions about your general health, specific injuries and whether you are under medical care. Then, I'll direct you to the studio. It should be clean, private and quiet. I will leave the room while you undress. You should never be on the table without being covered except for the part of your body that is being treated. Feedback from you will help me to do a better job. You should feel comfortable at all times. When you are on the table, you can begin your relaxation by closing your eyes and centering on your breathing. People often fall asleep. This shows that the body has reached a deeper point of relaxation. I hope that your massage is both enjoyable and beneficial. I take great pride in my work and enjoy facilitating health and relaxation." —Sandra

Asian Bodywork
Asian Bodywork

Asian Bodywork Shiatsu and Amna (Japanese Massage) and Tuina (Chinese medical massage):

It is an ancient approach to restoring and maintaining the health of the body, mind and spirit. It is based on the oriental philosophy that "ki" - also known as "chi" in Chinese - energy, the life force that flows within us, is the key to physical, emotional and spiritual health. If the flow of energy becomes blocked, there is dis-ease, dis-harmony and disease.

When chi flows unobstructed through the energy meridians (pathways) in our body, our energy is harmonized and the blockages that cause disease in the body, mind or spirit are removed. We feel better physically and emotionally and experience a renewed sense of well-being.

Lomi Lomi Massage
Lomi Lomi Massage

Lomi-Lomi (Hawaiian Massage):

Lomi-Lomi means break up into small pieces, and one of the intentions of this technique is to find congested areas of the body and disperse them through rhythmic movements. This is a wonderful combination of therapeutic strokes that, together, create the magical touch of the islands.

Polarity Therapy (Ayurvedic):

Polarity Therapy (Ayurvedic) massage seeks to harmonize people with their environment and nature using our own energy, love, positive thoughts, attitudes, and gentle manipulations.
